Any particular reasons you chose your university?
Good teaching score-10/10 and great curriculum
What did you most enjoy about your course?
The exposure to real communication systems and industry trips
What did you like the least?
More projects and lab work could be involved than regular tests.
Tell us about life beyond academics! What was the social scene like? Did your city offer anything exciting that you’d like to tell prospective students about? Did you travel much? Take extra-curricular classes?
Leeds is a wonderful city. Friendly people, ample Indian restaurants and Bradford is just an hour away (for all the Indian shopping, chaat and bollywood movies!). I loved the city center. It almost had everything, from jobs to shopping! I worked for Marks and Spencer and had a great time.
Were you a member of any societies at university?
No. Sadly, work kept me busy!
Which university facilities did you really enjoy?
The library and the union.
Where did you stay?
University (Leodis). It was very safe and comfy.
Do you remember how much you paid for your accommodation?
No. But it was expensive.
Any complaints about your accommodation?
None!
How did you manage finances? Any tips for students on a budget?
Work. I worked 5 hrs a day and used to manage food, accommodation and travel pretty comfortably!
Approximately how much do you think students should budget for per month (excluding rent)?
Just for me, 100-150 pounds a week. I am a vegetarian and no drinking habits. This includes food, stationary and bus pass with some weekend partying.
What did you do about meals? Cooked/ Relied on restaurants/ take-away/ microwave ready-meals/had one of your flat-mates cook for you?!
I love to cook. So I cooked every meal!
What’s the food scene like for vegetarians?
You get veggie options in the Indian restaurants. British ones, you might have to manage with pizza, salad, soup, pasta and awesome desserts!
Any restaurants/take-away joints in your university city/town you’d like to recommend?
Don’t really remember their names, Most were pretty decent.
Did you work part-time? Tell us a little about it!
RBS, Marks and Spencer! Both were great. Made loads of friends.

Don’t remember.
Who was your mobile service provider?
O2, car phone warehouse.
Were you on a prepaid/contract phone?
Contract for 1 year.
What did you do after university?
Worked in Motorola as an RF Engineer!
What are you doing at the moment?
Working in RF!
And finally, would you recommend a UK education to other students?
Yes!!!
